Every once in a while, I stumble upon a quote that makes me stop, ponder and marvel at the layers of meaning behind it. I’ve never thought of documenting these quotes lest I become one of those – as HLN, a subsidiary of CNN, puts it – “Annoying People On Facebook”.
Until I realised, quite recently, that my memory is going on a downward spiral.
So in an effort to collect and share not-so-commonly-heard quotes, I’m starting LOCAL’s “Abstracts With Extracts” – or AWE (happy coincidence) – section. This way, I get to share quotes and showcase LOCAL’s creative capabilities. *Self high-five
Today’s Abstracts Mixed Extracts is one which I have been mulling over for the past two days. From Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” –
which basically means that words, said flippantly and without intent, are empty.
So deep that my know-it-all (she really does know everything) lawyer partner needed me to explain it to her. *double self high-five
